Hi Everyone,
The next BAPA meeting will be held January 21 at Marie Callender's in Serramonte Mall, Daly City, to give time for everyone (especially me!) to get back from their winter flying Holidays.
The social half hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.

According to the Battalion Chief for the Los Padres National Forest and Ventana Wilderness all roads will be closed into the Spring due to unforeseeable slides that will result from this Winter's rainfall following the significant Summer fires. A lot of work is going on there currently (replacing bridges and clam shell work to keep the main roadways clear). Conditions may improve (depending on weather, etc). Not quite as close a contest as many of our recent US Government elections, but the BAPA results are in.
Thanks to everyone who showed their support for our officers by casting a ballot in this uncontested election. We had a 17.5% voter turnout. All nominees have been elected (although someone thinks Mike Walker should do double-duty as Treasurer - I think they want him to have control over the checkbook when organizing next year's parties!! :-)

Newsflash
You can check your last renewed date by logging in, click "My Member Info" in the User Menu and then mouse over the grey "Edit" rectangle above your name and click "Edit Your Membership Details". Click the "Admin Details" tab to see the information logged for your last payment. Note that only you and the Officers can see this information. Click the "Cancel" button at the bottom of the screen if you don't make changes.
While you're editing your information, you should check to see that everything is correct and up-to-date!

I've seen a problem where you log in using Internet Explorer, but nothing seems to happen. It's likely related to cookies (how the browser stores you login info). If you experience this problem, try Tools > Internet Options > Delete cookies (which will unfortunately clear ALL your cookies). Or, try using Netscape or Firefox (which allows you to clear only specific cookies if you want).
